MAll Drones "Required" for registration must fly with RID. There is an exemption for recreational flyers under 250g, SO turning on the RID would be your choice really. If its "registered" you are still in compliance if your Flying for recreation...

MYou could always use Animal Handling Gloves with cut resistant sleeves. I fly rc planes with 30cc 4s engines turning a 16x8 prop. These can be deadly if mishandled. In over fifty years of RC flying, I've had a few accidents, blood spilled etc...

MYou don't have to use RID with a registered Drone, if that drone is 250g and below, and it is a recreational flight.
