I rolledback from 1.04.0500back to 1.03.0700. When I did that on RTH the Mavic slows to a downward speed of 2 ft/s but never slows further. It was fine at 1.04.0500. Any thought on how to reduce speed befor the MP hits the ground?
I rolled back the firmware to 1.03.0700. When I had the 1.04.0400 the RTH would slow slightly above home (i.e. 8 feet) and then have a soft landing. After the rollback the RTH started its decent at about 6 ft/s and then slow to 2 ft/s but never slow and woudl bounce on the ground. I there a...
Not to put too fine a point of the subject of cold weather flying, but wind chill is not the same as temperature. In the case of wind on a cold day, heat is transferred from your body to the air around you. A thin layer of air (boundary layer) around you body forms which is warmed by the...
I routinely fly at an altitude of 4300 ft up to about +/- 5000 ft in cold weather and have never noticed any problems even when flying at temperature of -30 deg C. As mentioned above if the temperature were higher say 40 deg C then those altitudes might be more challenging.
I just completed a 15 min flight at -33 deg C (-27 deg F), Max height was 400 ft, max distance was 1000ft. Still had 40% battery left in the Mavic Pro when it landed. The total flight distance for the 15 min was 5,661 ft. Camera was working good, controls were all good.
I just completed a flight in -23 deg C with the Mavic Pro. Maximum height was only about 75m (i.e. 210 ft) but the flight was stable and the movie was great. I did not fly too far away because I was unsure of the flight parameters in this cold weather. I flew for about 15 minutes with no...
