Yes this seems to be most correct in what to expect. Now just pray its a working unit when it comes:)

Nothing beats fixing it properly. Just be prepared for a 4-5 week turnaround:)

I'm surprised you haven't been encouraged to do an imu calibration and compass as well. I would start there myself. But make sure they are done well. Makes a huge difference in stability.

As mentioned in the video just be sure to be thorough. So that they have "no chance" of missing an item through the process. List EVERYTHING ;)

Our options are more limited it seems here in Canada from what I can tell. The refresh worked well for me but did take awhile.

Did you recalibrate the imu after the update?

Yes I agree that mine at least is mostly wind related. When compensating for the strong winds it results in a tilted horizon but otherwise quite reliably level.

Well I'm definitely ok with a course/license being required. Regulate but don't eliminate. Hopefully things don't get so difficult it eliminates the hobby. Time will tell.
