this is what I use when I suspect interference will cause issues while flying.... they are great, cheap and can be placed in your gear bag without taking up hardly any space.

I can only speak of HCMC and Nha Trang from personal experience.
I had one of my Vietnamese co-worker call the phone number that is listed on UAV Systems International and they told her that I would have to contact the US Embassy to inquire about the licensing requirements. I think it was lost...
Because of the lithium batteries... it is required to be hand carried. However if you carry the batteries for hand carry and pack your drone for checked luggage, both will be x-rayed upon arrival. Customs will know what it is and then question you about it.
Customs holds on to them until you are ready to leave the country. Not to bad if you depart from the same airport in which it was confiscated, however it is a problem if you planned on departing from a different airport such as Hanoi. Still trying to sort out who to contact for the license...
New update for Vietnam... if you fly into Danang or Nha Trang, your drones will be confiscated. I did not have any issues in HCMC in August, however I am sure more airports will be confiscating in the future.
I had flown into HCMC airport with no issues with my Mavic Pro in August 2017. However upon my return from my visa run and flying into Nha Trang last week, my Mavic Pro was confiscated by customs. I have tried contacting the office that UAV Systems International has listed on their website...
Vietnam has no issues as long as you stay away from airports. There are some NFZs for no reason... but deal with it.
I have been flying in Nha Trang with no issues.

I know for China... anything over 250g has to be registered to fly in country.
But since you are passing through... I haven't heard anything about confiscating any drones. As for the other locations.... I will look on some of the other forums.
So I will be visiting PH over the New Year and plan on bringing my Mavic Pro with. I will mainly be based out of Manila, but does anyone have "special locations" that they would recommend? I would like to get some early morning and late evening videos/photos.
Thanks in advance,
Mie
Can anyone let me know what the rules are if you fly into Dubai on a commercial airplane with a drone? I am currently working overseas and fly in and out of Dubai and plan on bring my Mavic with me, but I have an overnight stay. Don't plan on flying if t will cause problems.... but wouldn't...
I have been to Nha Trang earlier this year and saw several P4P's flying about without any issues. I will be headed back there in a month or so and plan on taking my Mavic. In DJI's forum, there have been several users who have posted that they didn't have any issues. Vietnam / Cambodia Drone...
