Looking for abandoned places to fly

Google Earth is a good place to do some scouting

A bit concerned about my Mini 5 Pro

That doesn't look like anything to be concerned about. As mentioned in post #12, it's probably just your VPS trying to lock onto any ground detail for position holding, but unable to because there's no recognisable detail.

DJI Waypoints Repeatability Test - Logs vs Real Flight Path (Mini 5 Pro & Mavic 3 Pro)

It's important to understand the limitations of your equipment. Your drone's height measurements are all done with a barometric sensor that measures air pressure and all heights are based on the power up location = 0 metres. Setting heights above ground in Litchi does not use actual height...

Overheated drone/batteriers and lost connection with the drone

I had one battery give me a warning about overheating and power being reduced. This happened three times and the flight data showed battery temperatures never exceeding those with other batteries in similar air temperatures. I deduced that the warning was a false alarm. On showing DJI the data...

Lost my other drone, my Mini 3 Pro

It's very hard to ignore the VPS data that indicates the water level rising toward your drone.

Would an outdoor WIFI 6 range extender interfere with DJI drone flights?

It won't shoot your drone out of the sky. At worst, it might create a little interference if you are flying in the vicinity of it and that would be reduced as you fly further away. Try it and see.

Lost my other drone, my Mini 3 Pro

Your Mini 3 had a wideangle lens like all DJI main cameras. Yours field of view equivalent (in 35mm terms) of a 24 mm lens , so it was quite wide and makes things look further away than they actually are. I have no idea what you think that means. The red you saw was the VPS warning that the...

Lost my Mini 4 Pro - log shows I was pulling climb but drone kept descending

Your drone sets its zero height when the drone powers up, not when GPS is acquired. Height completely unrelated to GPS and homepoints are two-dimensional lat/long data with no height. Sorry but this isn't true. The only issue that launching before acquiring GPS data causes is that the recorded...

Lost my Mini 4 Pro - log shows I was pulling climb but drone kept descending

Strangest flight data I've ever seen - nothing makes sense. I've had a look at your flight data and can't find anywhere that the throttle input has any relation to drone height. Not just in the end of the flight, but right from startup. Also .. The pitch, roll and yaw data doesn't show any...

A bit concerned about my Mini 5 Pro

If his IMU required calibration, I think he'd have had a lot more to complain about.

Lost my other drone, my Mini 3 Pro

Nothing was showing red. As the drone was lost the barometric sensor was not showing a height lower than that of the launch point. But it's not unusual as the barometric sensor can drift during a flight and end up +/- 10 metres or more. The VPS sensor is accurate and shows the height of the...

You're right. The feature is older than I remembered.

    Drone Aparure Questions?

The choice is yours. You can choose which parameters to lock down and which to allow the camera to control. If you want aperture priority, set the shutter speed to Auto like this: If you want shutter priority, set the aperture to Auto

    RTH at night

The manual spells out the requirements for the Precision Landing feature to work. That's to launch vertically and climb to 7 metres before flying away from the launch point. No pause is necessary. Works with any drone equipped with the Precision Landing Feature. The Mavic 1 Pro lacks this and...

Russian guy loses mini 4 pro

Saltwater causes corrosion to begin instantly in the circuitry of a drone if it falls into the sea. It continues even months after the drone is dried out. It gets into parts that can't be cleaned or even seen. Saltwater and electronics don't mix. Chances of proper repair after a seawater dunking...
