Just wanted to provide an update. I got the air 2s and have been enjoying learning all of it's capabilities. Today I just passed the 107 with an 88%. Thanks for all the input and information. My learning doesn't stop here.

No I have even looked into the testing yet. I also haven't found the deal I want yet. I thought I saw the fly more package available this morning when I asked, but it must have been a different model

I think with the added expense of courses and other random expenses I'm probably going to go with the air 2s. I'd hate to deplete my account and have the additional stuff come up also. Thanks for the validation with what I was leaning towards anyway!

Other than just flying for fun I would use it to inspect towers at my work in the event of heavy storm damage. Not for hire, just as a tool. That may be a benefit to the newest tech, but I am in no way trying to sell myself as an aerial photographer. This will strictly be a tool / hobby

Yeah, I'd say the 3s is in my budget, but I would have to save a little longer. The 2s would be ordered today. I absolutely loved my limited experience with the 2s

Thanks for the the reply. Both would be purchased off dji's website with refresh. By protection I meant refresh. I thought I read somewhere about android not being supported by the app anymore. Is there any truth to that?

Good morning, I am new to the forum located in Colorado. I just had my first experience with a drone and now I am wanting to jump in. The drone I was able to fly and see how great the images were was the air 2s. I feel that it currently suites my needs and powerful enough as my skill improves...
