    Mavic 3T Deer Recovery

Go ahead and show me the law.

    Mavic 3T Deer Recovery

It's not illegal to take pictures of an animal. That is false. It becomes illegal when used for hunting/scouting. I am contracting with a township to do a deer population survey over a large area....it has been explicitly approved by the Game Commission.

    Mavic 3T Deer Recovery

That is incorrect. Some states explicitly allow it for recovery only. In PA, it's under debate (it's not explicitly allowed or disallowed, though there was an attempted prosecution). And if you're using it for a survey of population (not hunting or scouting) on private land, it is absolutely...

US anti-DJI and -Autel drone blacklist poised to become law, clearing the way for nation-wide user bans already in the works

Honestly, this is alarmist. There is no way they are going to have a total purchase and user ban. DJI is the top selling drone brand in the world. The drone industry, including small companies, like I run, will lose their minds. Also, preventing certain brands of drones from using publicly...

RC pro enterprise RTK message in Chinese after update

The title says it. I now have confirmed with one other pilot that has the same exact issue. After the most recent DJI RC pro enterprise firmware update, the initial audio message when RTK is enabled is in Chinese. Everything else is in English. I haven’t confirmed if it also does it with my...

NEVER ordering from DJI again. Angry as hell

I purchased a Mavic three thermal and had to fill out an import form. And that was not directly from DJI, but a different vendor. You basically have to attest that you’re not going to transfer it to North Korea or, ironically, China. It must be a new requirement at the federal level.

Legality of selling photos taken by drone of privately-owned structures

A few things there. Part 107 has nothing to do with photography per se. It has to do with the purpose of the flight at the time it's made. So, if you're going to take a photo with your drone with the intent of selling that photo, you would need a Part 107 license because the flight was...

    Thinking of the air 2s

I have four charged batteries at all times. Plus I can mobile charge. Also, I use a a ribbon cable from StsrtRC and can add an extra 3s lipo 2200mah. I also have a 3T with much longer times, obviously.

    Thinking of the air 2s

I don’t think I’d listen to negative reviews. I’ve had the air 2S for almost 2 years. It is my main photography drone. I recently started a business after becoming certified. I also have a Mavic 3T for thermal, mapping and inspection work. In my opinion, the 2S is still a very difficult drone...

    Mavic controller frequencies

No. There is no single frequency. It constantly changes.

DJI Air 2S Fly Away - 2,000 Ft, >90% Battery, No Obstructions

You just cannot let it go. I however, can. Take care.

DJI Air 2S Fly Away - 2,000 Ft, >90% Battery, No Obstructions

You’ve already stated that. Again, I disagree. There’s plenty of value in speculating especially if hard data isn’t available. No need to go back-and-forth about it. I’m OK with disagreement.

DJI Air 2S Fly Away - 2,000 Ft, >90% Battery, No Obstructions

Yeah, I respectfully disagree. That kind of behavior points clearly to the possibility of some kind of significant interference with the radio and likely GPS. You’re right that we don’t know that for sure, but it is the most likely explanation. Other explanations include electronic/mechanical...

Mavic 3 Enterprise or Enterprise thermal?

I just got the 3T. I’m planning on working with roofers, pet search, residential solar, etc. For me it was a no brainer. Thermal is in very high demand.
