    Mavic Pro question

I'll see about trying that when I get the new video cable in on/about the 10th or so.

Kinda like in Amateur Radio ('ham' radio), where a license holder like myself can be the Control Operator for someone else even if that person's not licensed (or even if they're licensed, but of a lower class license than me).

    Mavic Pro question

@lookout did you ever determine the reason for the lens failure? If that's the case with mine, then I'd like to know any possible reasons for it. Besides, I'm getting a "Camera Sensor Error" - and I'm guessing that's the CCD sensor behind the lens, like the ones on DSLRs - on mine. The lens...

    Mavic Pro question

I'll try that when I get the new cable in. Hopefully, I won't break anything in the process. <fingers crossed>

    Mavic Pro question

@dave canada I ordered a new video cable and when it comes in, I'll try that; I don't have ATF, but I do have some 3-in-1 oil that I could try using. I'll keep everyone posted as to how it works. IF that works to get the video feed working again, I'll have to go somewhere outside my home area...

    Mavic Pro question

@Rnl It's normally plugged into the side port on the RC, but I tried doing it the way you suggested (using a USB-to-USB C cable) and got the same results.....still no video feed, but everything else still works (telemetry, etc). Same results using a USB-to-Lightning cable on my iPhone 11.

    Mavic Pro question

@dave canada I tried that (was recommended to do that - gently - in a video) and it still wouldn't loosen.

    Mavic Pro question

Yeah, @dave canada that's the one I bought; I had removed the camera/gimbal once before, but even after removing the screws around the camera, I couldn't get it to separate from the body to get to the cable inside it and get that end disconnected.

    Mavic Pro question

Nah. I'll spend the $20 on a new cable. Don't have the kind of $$ DJI wants.

    Mavic Pro question

If you tap (on the app) the top bar where it normally says "Ready to Fly", you get the menu that shows the status of the drone's systems, including the camera. When I go there I get a red "abnormal" reading on the camera and when I tap that, it shows the "Camera Sensor Error" on the next 'page'.

    Mavic Pro question

On the app, I get a "Camera sensor error" notification. It could be I might need to replace either the camera itself or the video cable?

    Mavic Pro question

I don't get any video feed on the app at all - the RC only has the basic telemetry, not video.

    Mavic Pro question

OK, then. I haven't tried putting the MP1 into WiFi mode because of the lack of a WiFi module inside it, so I don't know.
