Just send your drone to DJI Drone Service in NJ. They send you a FEDEX label, and in my case they were able to software correct my new gimbal with the IMU for $99 and I received it back yesterday; 6 day turnaround. Better than purchasing an new drone.

Yes, I am still getting a video feed, but the gimbal after the initial start-up when the gimbal rotates, it seats at an angle and remains that way in flight.

Yes, I agree. That is what is frustrating, no resources that deal with this problem and nobody is posting back with any updates on the situation with their minis.

Went back and re-read your post, especially the "What doesn't work" portion. I was going to attempt to use the original cam with the my new gimbal but see you already tried that fix and it didn't work. Did you ever find a fix?

I guess the original posters are no longer monitoring this because I have not been successful in finding out what they ultimately did to fix the problem. I was hoping to avoid sending my Mini off to a repair shop and spend $300 to have them pair the gimbal/cam with the IMU.

Haven't tried anything yet. I have some other priorities. However, I remember that the cord from the cam was frayed and some of the tiny wires were disconnected so I don't know if connecting the original cam/gimbal is going to work.
