I have found with three protecs, two on the sides and one on top. It’s better to descend as you move forward rather than straight down. I put mine into a almost death spiral one time but pulled out by full right stick.

O only 3-5 seconds in the mountains where they fly and the speed they are going. I have been flying when they come through. The power line they hit was about 250AGL I fly at that height...... a few seconds is not enough time to do much.

You could go old school and get a helium weather balloon tethered with 100 feet of 1/8inch rope and a small hand crank boat winch it will get you up there and is portable but only good for Omni antennas :)
