Educational info is something like never go fly when your app is trying to tell you something in a color that is yellow or even worse..... red. You took off with zero satelittes wich means you have to control EVERYTHING yourself, you get NO help. I read that 6 satelittes is a bare minimum for a...
Cant answer for all of europe, but in Norway its no rule of thumb..... its not legal at all to fly over crowded public areas. There is no specific number defining what a crowded area is but it covers most areas with many people including beaches thats for sure. :)
Took me a good week to setup everything when i first got my MP. Just finding a good spot to try it out was a frikkin nightmare. I was scared i would mess something up with my first flight. I also thought i would be stuck in beginner mode for 14 days. (Have crashed my share of nitro airplanes)...
Whatever the rules are.... if any are broken he sure made their day capturing his own face and posting it. If there werent any such laws in Shannnnnnghai, i would still deem it pretty reckless and irresponsible for a dronepilot to do what he did. Losing connection time and time again and landing...

Just get a buddy and place him/her as a lookout. Anyone comes accusing just say you have the lookout and how in hell are they gonna prove otherwise. They wont bother. Dont see the danger in bending the rules as long as everything goes fine. However, its like in all other aspects in life..... if...
Just installed it here in Norway. Comes up with norwegian rules about droneflying so i would think its to good use outside US. Gonna go on a trip and try it out shortly :)
