Do you use phone AND tablet?

I have a Note 8 and an Android tablet. Both work well with my Platinum Pro I. I don't like the tablet obscuring the controller as I am fairly new at this. Otherwise, all is good. Be sure to get a tablet that has a fast enough processor for the controller and Mavic.

Simi Valley or the 805? Mavic Zoom owner- newbie.

I live in Fillmore, have a Mavic Pro I and find it difficult to fly in the TO area (my home town for 50+ years). I am new to flying since last Sept. and the Covid 19 problem has really stopped the flying. I suggest you try the parks around Moorpark, or Camarillo which are closer to you. I was...

    State Farm for coverage

I agree, shop around. Insurance Companies are supervised by the state government, so rules, rates, and availability may vary state to state.

    Disaster.. Please Help

Being I am a retired SF Agent, I dont think their policy would cover mechanical failure without an insuring covered peril, like fire... That would suggest that you still need DJI.

Your Mavic Air 2 Order Status!

I bought the Mavic Pro Platinum fly more combo last September, so I wish no I had waited. I really like all the sensors that the new Mavic has that would help me as an inexperienced pilot, but my Platinum seems to be a good stable machine and I dont do any risky flying, as I am just not skilled...

    Substitute for Expensive Screens

I recently tried both the iPad 2, available for about $140 at Amazon. It worked well, but I wanted to replace my Fire Tablets with an in expensive ios system unit, as DJI 4 seems to work well with most ios tablets. An Apple mini 4 is still around $300 and a new mini 5 is $399 at BB. I have had...

    Help please. Corrective Lenses

I had a similar problem, and need readers for the laptop and for book reading. Then the Mavic Pro came into my life and at a different distance, so they must be different power. I went to the Dollar Store bought 3 pair, different powers and now the problem is solved for different distances and...

Thanks for the suggestions. I went over Grimes Cyn last night, and very windy as is usual in winter. I will keep that in mind. Mogulsmoke

    Newbe Longmont Colorado..

Welcome to the group. You have some fantastic spots to fly in, as CO offers much to the drone owner, if they observe the rules. I was born/raised near Windsor on a farm. Wish we had something like this back then to check to irrigation rows to see which ones were done. I am a newbie since late...

Simi Valley or the 805? Mavic Zoom owner- newbie.

Are you still flying? I am a newbie since Dec. with my Mavic ProPlatinum copter. I fly here in Fillmore at my church parking lot to gain experience and the stick skills needed. Ron

    Almost lost my MPP

I was flying my new MPP this week, at low altitude of 5 feet or so, just getting ready to land it, when, apparently, a ground level gust of wind blew it eastward from the landing pad, about 10 feet and it started to land behind some 3 foot high shrubs, disappearing behind the shrubs. Due to a...

    Hello from So. CA, USA

I want to thank those members who posted the links to the various manuals on the MPP and the controller. I have saved the PDF's to my desktop and have them handy to read on those rainy days here in SO CA. One is coming on Thursday. I am still flying in my huge church parking lot (in Beginner...

There’s no fool like an old fool...Mavic Mini lost!!

I am an "OldGuy" too and have a new Mavic Pro Platinum. I bought that 3 year old model, because it seemed to be quite reliable as most of the bugs have been worked out of it. I have flown it several times and have my FAA Recreatonal License as it is now. I am working on the 107. We must be safe...
