You can rename the batteries. I had the same thing bugging me. Just renamed the failed battery as 'retired' and the others in correct sequence.

What sucks is, by the pics, this was almost, if not identical to the $70 one I recently purchased from wrap grade Japan. Guess that's what all the fuss is about.

It has become habit for me. I do not put a battery in the a.c. unless the gimbal clamp is removed. The habit came from checklist and a reminder tag on drone for a while.
