I basically shot the images to create a panoramic view in 3 separate exposures then picked the best bits from each to create it

I was a bit nervous at first but I'm kind of used to it.

A few weeks back

A combination of 27 images 9 portrait shots shot in aeb mode then blended in using photoshop

Literally just got in from doing just that. It gets a bit samey after a while though

Try using the manual focus feature which can be turned on. Digitally zoom in, set the focus then remember to zoom back out.
