The linked article is about US Dept of Commerce which had a proposal to ban the import of Chinese made drones but they just withdrew that proposal. This is completely independent of the FCC covered list which is still intact. -

It's a confusing situation and there's incomplete information, but all these headlines saying there's no ban on Chinese drones are misleading at best and attention-getting sensationalism...

The RC was in Mode 3 and AC was responding to the commanded inputs. The AC was descending with throttle full down at end of log.
