    Question about obstacle alerts

Several people have had similar issues with new Mavic 4 Pros. A simple procedure seems to calibrate the OA sensors. Five minutes of flight in a large + pattern about 10 feet AGL in a flat open area did the trick for me. There's a long discussion here on the forum...

Why are there no TFRs over Minneapolis?

There is no threat of an insurrection in Minnesota.

2025 - my year in focus

Absolutely wonderful photos. Your comments make me feel better about buying the Mavic 4 Pro, despite the complications. Here in the US, we're limited in how closely we can approach US Navy vessels - no closer than 3000 feet laterally. "These new restrictions specifically prohibit drone flights...

Why are there no TFRs over Minneapolis?

You said, "... the entire region is under threats of "insurrection." That sort of false and inflammatory claim has no place here. Stick to drone topics. even if the discussion is about the decision making process inside DHS.

got stuck in a tree today

Or better yet, don't take off directly beneath a tree, regardless of the control mode chosen. You might steer clear of the tree on takeoff, but if the flight ends with RTH, you'll have a serious problem.

Let's keep this sort of absurd fear-mongering nonsense off this forum, please. There is no threat of an insurrection.

    Flying in light snowfall

That wouldn't be effective with the drone moving forward though the rain, snow, or fog. Given the turbulence beneath the rotors not be effective even when hovering. Another concern is intruding into the field of view of the camera, unless it was well above the gimbal and/or short.

    Flying in light snowfall

Here's what the FAA says. "As a result, ice accumulation is often greatest at temperatures not too far below 0 °C (32 °F), where LWCcan be abundant. LWC is usually negligible at temperatures below about -20 °C (-4 °F)." Details on page 9...

    Flying in light snowfall

It can be, and not just at times when there's rain or snow.

    Flying in light snowfall

That would still leave the problem of rain and snow on the outer surface of the cover.

Question, Mavic 4 Pro warranty support for U.S. supplied drones

    I suggest calling DJI.

    Flying in light snowfall

Anything like that would substantially degrade the camera images and video, like rain and melted snow do.
