I put a wire cable tie through the holes \slots on the rear downward protrusions at the back of the Mavic Pro, took a masons line that is tied to a weight (plumb bob) and attached the line to the cable tie with a quick release knot...just a tug will release it. The spool of the masons line goes...
Have a look at this product. I have a "Tag" velcroed on the tail of my Mavic Pro. Lots of range and will help determine if the drone is IN a tree, and which tree, or on the ground... Made for cats, but works as back up locator for the drone...

I knew that would be clear as Mud ;) I don't think I had a free hand to take any pictures and I was trying to enlist the xyl to help. Hashtag fail! I'll look and see if I did in fact take a pic. I know I tried several variations to find what worked the best and this did!
I also have used my Mavic Pro to run a line for a long wire antenna. I find that using a nylon mason's line tied to a 8 or 10" Cresecent wrench and then to a wire tie that is attached to the rear rubber pads on the drone. Use a 'Highwayman's Hitch to attach to the tie and when the drone is over...
Welcome.. from Eastern Ontario. I have a brother in Courtenay and had my Mavic out there in Oct 2017 and have some beautiful pictures of Comox Lake, the Puntledge River and Mt. Washington. It's a great spot to fly and sooooo scenic!
