Get Litchi. It will let you know you are in restricted air space, but will allow you to fly up to 200 feet, not 400.

Download the Litchi App, small fee and even though it tells you its an NFZ, YOUCAN STILL FLY Up to 200feet unrestricted. Problem solved and you can enjoy the drone to your hearts delight!

I’m glad that they haven’t changed the firmware. It seems they just added more restrictions in where you can fly, with less user autonomy.

I use IMovie on my Macpro laptop, which I upgraded to edit in 4K. It does a great job.

The boat may have a lot of electronic interference. Be careful, also take off and land from the part of the boat where the wind is blowing away from the boat. I had a lot of trouble on a 28’ foot boat.

Question, if we hand launch, instead of from the ground, will that comply with Federal law and prevent a penalty from local rules?

Yesterday I was flying surrounded by trees and lost signal after about 1300 feet. I can usually get 3-4000 feet, if there aren’t too many trees or buildings around. So that answers my question about limited distances. This is a Great forum for anyone with a Mavic!
