To unlock most of zones, a pop-up appear on the screen and just have to clic on "I assume the responsability" and then OK. No so difficult imho. To unlock the really near to an airport zone is needly to go through the web process, but I find it logical due to the air safety.
If is specific to the Japan version, problaby is something related to the batteries, maybe the pre-heat time is now mandatory until the batt is at X temp.
Normally on a blue zone you can use the Live Self-Unlocking, having Internet connection on the mobile and with a few taps on the screen, really is not available on DJI Fly App until late December?

Basically you can fake the GPS location for the mobile phone but the application detects thet dron is on a different GPS location and reset the config again to the location of the dron.
The application is already available in Spain on iOS, here is 10th November yet.

But the Hubsan Zino is double the weight of the Mini, every dron that is over 250gr get different regulations on most of countries.
In Spain in example you cannot fly on cities or over places with people if the drone is more than 250gr.
The point of the mini are the 249gr.
Apart from that, in many Europe countries you cannot fly drones of more than 250gr over buildings or over crowds of people, like in example a music festival.
