You're absolutely correct. It should be as smooth as silk (like it was with the original Mavic), but with Mavic 2, the only way to do it with professional quality is as you've described. It's a real shame that DJI regressed on such an important, elemental "skill" with the Mavic 2 and still fails...

Then please tell DJI to fix their own app. It exhibits the exact same problem. Linking the issue to Litchi gives DJI an easy out clause, but it has nothing to do with Litchi and everything to do with Mavic 2.

For the most part, I agree with that statement. However, one of the primary benefits of Waypoints (GO4, Litchi, etc.) is to perfectly transition and pan the camera from point to point. It's essentially impossible to do that manually. Granted, I can do a much better job manually than the Mavic 2...

The SC was overpriced to begin with. Now, it's just silly. The only way to combat this is to decrease the quantity demanded.

There is tons of great advice in this thread. I have one additional piece of advice that you may have already discovered: Don't rely on Waypoints 2.0 (or Litchi) to pan smoothly from point to point. There is a glaring bug in the firmware that I can almost guarantee does a WORSE job of panning...

My advice: Make sure you have a State Farm personal articles insurance policy, your premiums are paid... then let it rip.

That's 100% false. It's a firmware issue. This is not specific to Litchi -- the exact same behavior is prevalent (and well documented) with Waypoints 2.0 in the Go 4 app.

Well, until DJI fixes the firmware issue causing the gimbal jerkiness between waypoints, I wouldn't worry too much about not having Litchi on CS. The video quality it produces is garbage. So instead of just having Waypoints 2.0 stutter as the gimbal interpolates, you'd have Litchi do it as well...

As others have said, this continues to be a major bug in the Mavic 2 firmware. The same behavior is present with Waypoints 2.0 in GO4. This bug is so bad, in my opinion, that waypoint based video is unusable with Mavic 2. It's a real shame that DJI continues to ignore this.
