Yep, "delayed enforcement" not "delayed implementation".
Only applies to those of us who can't comply right now due to having no modules to buy or craft not yet compliant.
Apologies, this thread was the top result in my search.
It's not clear exactly what they're planning as there hasn't been a formal announcement with details.
BUT they're acknowledging the limited supply of RID modules and are going to do something. Just what that is, we will find out.
It's not "meaningless" as it was said by an FAA official there to represent the agency. A clip can bee seen in this video.
An formal announcement with the details of what they're actually doing is expected before the 16th.
And WOAH, you sure like your exclamation points. Every line in your...
YES!!
I had given up hope. Last I checked in it looked like it wasn't in the cards for the Air 2.
Was afraid I'd have to shoehorn on some external module.
Of course operator error is likely the biggest factor.
And got it, I was not aware that you had analyzed hundreds of Litchi-flown incidents.
This is software I am strongly considering purchasing but I was planning to only use it for my P3 while the Air 2 was under DJI Care.
Your analysis makes...
Yeah, I think you may have mentioned that already in this thread.
Unless I'm getting it wrong, you're either missing or ignoring the software angle.
Should the software used to fly the drone be a factor in the fault then the fault will not be covered if it's not DJI software nor would I expect...

The way that insurance claims tend to go is they will take any exclusion they can get.
If you're using both their hardware AND their software then there's less loopholes for them.
All joking aside pilot-error and software glitches are at risk with any software.
The main issue being should you have damage or a fly-away DJI Care will not cover you if you're using software other that their own to fly.
Here's hoping that there will be add-on modules by next September.
Most of my planes are home-built and all are pre RID therefore none will have Remote-ID built in.
People are pretty innovative, I'm sure the RC manufactureres will come up with something.
I was referring to any manufacturer that does or will limit flight.
I only expect this to increase as this September is when Remote-ID goes into effect.
I'm not so concerned abut DJI as they've been largely ahead of the curve in compliance.
I believe that through software most of thier...
Again thanks all, this may be old news to many of you but I'm just coming up to speed.
Here's a vid going into the disparity between DJI and the FAA restrictions.
Pilot Institute - DJI Authorization Zones vs FAA Airspace Approval
Whatever your sources if you're trying to make a point with map comparisons it helps to have the maps at/near the same scale.
As I mentioined it looks like you're right. If you look at the attached screenshots the one from DJI and two from the FAA appear prove your point about the Camp Peary...
