Is bad that I’m little mad?

Yes there is. I'll get to be an expert witness someday I think the potential for equipment loss alone is reason enough for an individual to find it in their best interests to avoid flying BVLOS. I think flying BVLOS because you think 'there is not dangers' down-range is as reckless as...

Is bad that I’m little mad?

VLOS is for everyone and the safety of everyone else. When the aircraft is BVLOS, it is flying itself, not being flown by the operator. It will likely always be off-limits to hobbyists, The Big Shipping and Delivery companies (name yer poison) will dominate civilian BVLOS and how the...

Using Mavic as a spotting scope

I'd try that, but I'd still want to use his drone. I think he wanted something like a towed gunnery target in a war movie.

Using Mavic as a spotting scope

I gotta tell my buddy this. He's an avid hunter and paper puncher. He asked if I could tow an aerial target behind my drone. I told him to buy one and we'd find out.

On the subject of flying BVLOS; In the event of a 'worst case' in-flight scenario causing the death or injury of another person, will you be able to adequately defend your actions in a deposition with the plaintiffs attorney? See you in court. Will your insurance cover you?

Anyone in Dallas / Fort Worth?

Hello Tray, I passed the 107 exam last month and I think it's worth the trouble because I'm now much more prepared to answer questions from Joe Public, and I know with certainty that my flying activities are legal and defensible. Plus, my snarky friend that teased me for being a grown man...

    New Old Guy

I'm about 30 miles North of Fort Worth, Texas. I've been learning how to crash remote control cars/trucks/boats/gliders/planes/helis and now multi-rotors (pretty much in that order) since I got a Cox .049 powered "Thimble Drome Prop Rod" for Christmas I guess in about 1970. The little .049...
