No need to take the sim out. I fly with a Samsung S7 edge and an S8 with no issues. If a call comes in just cancel it - you might want to disable notifications as well whilst flying (from the Samsung settings menu)
You are all assuming it "landed" how far did it descend in the last 27seconds of flight ? I calculate it to be 7.5m / s (about 24.5ft/s) - that's a crash not a landing !
I would fly it close in for a few batteries then go back to that location where you had the GPS issues and monitor the GPS...
Just having a look at the sensor info - point (j)states it was at 157.5m altitude at 20'30" so was obviously in auto landing mode but my calcs suggest that total flight time of 20'51" so from 157.5m to 0m in 21 seconds is a decent speed of 7.5m per second ............. that's almost the same...
Looks like it initiated auto landing at 20'15". It was 197.7m altitude and probably took 34 seconds to land whilst still going forward ( wind direction shows it was drifting in Atti mode whilst landing)
My money is on the end of the yellow line is where it landed. Good luck, I hope you find it.
Absolutely no law here ............. yet. They are in the process of developing a law / regulations but nothing official yet.
I'll do a trial when I get back after Christmas.
I've been flying TBS quads for years - but my question is more related to not flying in the CE jurisdiction and not in the FCC either - I fly in Kazakhstan so we are not governed by these bodies. How will the Mavic perform then (it's at home in the UK and not here yet) I wonder ? Default to max...
