Catastrophic motor failure leading to Mavic 3 crash. Warranty or Care Refresh?

So I remembered that about 8 months ago, the drone got wet on a canoeing trip (even though it was in a hardcase...I have since switched to Pelican) so if that little sticker inside the drone is red, I assume that will nullify the warranty, correct? Even tho I dried it in desiccant for a week and...

Only thing that is different from the original file is the 2 at the end since it's a copy. Yeah, my mac didn't like it either.

Catastrophic motor failure leading to Mavic 3 crash. Warranty or Care Refresh?

Something else I noticed that immediately prior to the first notification, the voltage goes up instead of down. Now this may be expected...a sort of "digging deep" if you will to keep it in the air, but I thought it was at least worth noting.

Catastrophic motor failure leading to Mavic 3 crash. Warranty or Care Refresh?

Well this is cool...you can see from the kmz file that it's already falling at the time of the first notification.

Catastrophic motor failure leading to Mavic 3 crash. Warranty or Care Refresh?

I saved all files related to the flight before I synced my logs. I think it's encypted, but have never actually tried it before. I'll give it a whirl....unlike that motor will ever do again.... *crickets* I'm not gonna sit here and say I blow them out after every flight...It's not very dusty...

Catastrophic motor failure leading to Mavic 3 crash. Warranty or Care Refresh?

I had just finished painting my boat and was using my Mavic 3 to dry it. Hey, don't judge...it worked really well...hahaha. So well, in fact I had a few minutes later in the flight to check out the sunset. Here is the flight log viewer information from Phantom Help: DJI Flight Log Viewer -...

Mavic 3 crashes into a big wall with obstacle avoidance on. Video and logs

In my opinion, obstacle avoidance should overrule any other command the drone tries to execute. So yes, it may have tried the predictive tracking, but as soon as the sensors picked up the wall (and the sensors should have picked up the wall…they picked up all the other walls it flew by, that’s...

Mavic 3 crashes into a big wall with obstacle avoidance on. Video and logs

I thought the same thing, it is pulsing. Is that typical? It acts like it wants to gets lost on the left a couple of times before it actually does. Pretty much makes for unusable footage. Maybe it had something to do with too much white and it’s shifting around looking for something else, who...

    Gimbal flip at 90°

No, there isn’t any way that a 15 to 20 degree gimbal swing should be considered normal and is much more than a video blip. Incorrect. It can and does. @dariobs I am experiencing this problem as well and actually started another thread on the subject before I saw yours. Here’s what it looks like:

Jerky camera when pointed straight down?

Thanks for confirming. Yeah, I think your description of “huge gimbal swing” is more accurate, sadly… Nope, no significant wind. Had a Freewell ND4 PL filter on, didn’t check it without filter yet because I just noticed it.

Jerky camera when pointed straight down?

Hey guys. I noticed today when I had the camera pointed straight down and went forward, then backward abruptly, my camera was jerking really bad. Please see below. The first few motions are in normal mode, then I put it in sport and it gets much worse. Anyone else having this problem?

In theory, could you get into a new Mavic 3 for $2007?

    1. After I buy one, I'll tell ya...haha 2. Brand new, never activated. 3. Same as buying one. 4. Yes

In theory, could you get into a new Mavic 3 for $2007?

I'm sorta just thinking out loud here. So the entire theory hinges on the presumption that the Mavic 3 will link with your old Air 2 controller, which I've read on other threads that it will do. I mean, it's the same controller, right? It should. So then you buy one of the replacement drones...
