    Fisheye sensor protectors?

My fisheye sensors are already getting pretty roughed up just from going into and out of the case. I had thought about using phone camera protectors, but they are all flat and obviously need convex. Also thought about osmo or insta 360 protectors but they seem too big. Not seeing anything...

How's this look?Fulfilled by Amazon so returns if issue, easy.

What they said. There are 3 SK stores I have purchased from on ebay and all 3 have been top-notch. Save yourself a grand and go there. I also confirmed with dji that even tho I purchased from SK, drone will still be covered under 1-year warranty, much to my surprise 😮

M4P Gimbal Rubber Mount re-attachment. What's the trick?

Lube it up with lip balm, get a blunt object (not a screwdriver, the end needs to be more rounded to not cause damage to the rubber) smaller than the hole and place the rubber sideways in front of the hole. Push the most solid part into the hole sideways. That’s how I did it. Wipe off the lube...

    Anyone self-repair your gimbal yet?

I'm becoming more and more convinced that they are designing these drones with the intention of them not being repaired and making it nearly impossible for the owners to do so

    Anyone self-repair your gimbal yet?

Well after an initial signs were encouraging and I had the camera pointed the right way woke up this morning turned it on to an IMU gimbal error and it just got progressively worse from there. Now won't even power on so I'm sure I've shorted something out. Looks like it's time to call State...

    Anyone self-repair your gimbal yet?

Haha…just practicing up for when we have to build or modify our own parts in the very near future. Thanks for your support! It’s nearly dry enough to sand and begin the rebuild.

    Anyone self-repair your gimbal yet?

Well now, I think the gimbal motor may be fine. Upon very close inspection, I have discovered a tiny piece broken off the lower gimbal bracket, on the opposite side of the gimbal motor. Note the jagged surface. That is basically a stop for when the camera is rotating on the pitch axis...

    Anyone self-repair your gimbal yet?

That's kinda how I feel about replacing the ESC. Then it turns a moderate repair into a major surgery...and therefore likely an insurance claim. Also, I wouldn't think the ESC would be damaged by a hard landing, but if the gimbal motor is what struck the ground first, with enough force to sever...

    Anyone self-repair your gimbal yet?

Replace the ESC? I have blown out that motor with compressed air multiple times. Why wouldn't I start with replacing the buzzing pitch motor? Looking at its behavior and loudness in that video, doesn't it seem like that's the cause and at the very least, cause the camera to stick in the backward...

    Anyone self-repair your gimbal yet?

Ya know, that's kinda what I thought, sounds like a loose connection, right? Well, maybe not. After removing the camera housing entirely, and making sure all screws that attach it to the gimbal were tight, I discovered that the pitch motor was making a loud buzzing noise and acting erratically...

    Anyone self-repair your gimbal yet?

Had a relatively minor hard landing and severed part of the PTZ cable. Got the parts in and repaired the drone, which basically involves disassembly of a large part of the body and nearly every screw removed from the gimbal. As of now, there are two disassembly videos on YouTube. One from...

Mavic 4 pro needs head reattached after self harm incident.

Agreed. That gimbal is super exposed like that, and nearly guaranteed to be damaged in a crash. I found a lens hood on Ali Express for 9 bucks that I now use. It probably won't save it from a 15mph+ impact, but it might save it if it falls off the hood of your car. At least the gimbal won't be...

State Farm Insurance instead of DJI Care

That's crazy. I have an auto liability policy and a couple personal articles policies for different items. I had my MacBook Pro M1 Pro insured with them and got it wet. Filed a claim, got a check, added a little to it, and went and bought an M3 Max. Called them the next day, then they...

SOLD! DJI Mavic 4 Pro Drone 512GB Creator Combo w/RC Pro 2 [NEW, SEALED]

Like I said, although I DO like to participate in a shenanigan now and again (only 1 at a time, no shenaniganS....moderation ya know) I didn't even get to participate in a single shenanigan, and I'm actually a little sad, honestly. Nobody even asked me if I wanted to participate in a shenanigan...
