It is still there. Saw it last week.

It is still on the power lines, saw it yesterday. Took a few more pictures of it and measured the heighth. The first guestimate of 200 ft. was way off! It is right at 100 ft. up.

According to DJI's spec sheet it says image size is 640x480 (4:3). Is this the actual "sensor size"? If so, that is a very good resolution for thermal cameras Mavic 2 Enterprise- Specifications, FAQs, Videos, Tutorials, Manuals - DJI M2ED Thermal Camera Sensor Uncooled VOx...

It's located in a big city. Pretty sure shooting at it from this location would draw alot of unwanted attention!

Went and looked at again. It is on the very top wire. I think this the ground wire. Not sure that makes any difference as far as recovery is concerned though. Similar to this arrangement.

Not sure on the Nits, but after using an Nvidia K1, I would say it is 1.5 times brighter. I am using the 8" Huawei.

Do they have utility trucks with a 200 ft. boom on them? I do not think I have ever seen one go that high.

Strings and power lines....... doesn't sound like a good idea. To get the power company out there, it would require alot of their recources (money and time), especially since it is 200 ft. up! I was looking at a way to possibly get it with another drone.

Was considering using another drone to try to rescue it, but it would probably end up with 2 Mavics stuck on the power line!

I think you are right, I always thought that was the reason the MPP was more efficent and quieter than the MP. Thanks.

I bevieve the original MP came with brushed motors.
