Cautionary tale for DJI replacement service.

I would stop the lies and apologize for previous poor communication with customers. The Big Lie? DJI has never, ever admitted that customs seizures are the heart of the problem. They have never told the truth about the situation, we have pieced it together on our own. They are still talking...

Cautionary tale for DJI replacement service.

I'm not planning on suing anyone, but DJI should be planning on getting sued by several thousand customers who got less than they paid for. (The warranty that DJI cannot deliver.) Like I said, DJI could not have handled this bad situation any worse than they did.

Cautionary tale for DJI replacement service.

I bought an Air3s in late June only to discover I would not be able to buy Care Refresh, and now we are aware that DJI cannot even fulfill basic warranty obligations. I sense a class-action lawsuit revving up. DJI could not have handled this situation any worse than they have.

    RAW Samples

That's interesting, I wonder if there is some unit-to-unit variation. Mine clearly gets the zenith into the top of the frame when pointed max "up." Edit: It will shoot the zenith only under manual control. The auto pano modes will NOT include the zenith. You are correct about that.

    RAW Samples

Air 3s can put the zenith in image. I'd bet the Mini 5 Pro will as well. DJI is gradually fixing some of the gaping holes in their camera capabilities,

    Air 2s Pano

You don't need to test it again, that is just the way the Air2s and some other drones work. Their gimbals will not tilt up enough to include the zenith in a photo. If you can't shoot the zenith, you cannot do a real 360 degree spherical panorama. DJI says you can, that is a lie. That blurriness...

Air 3s Gimbal Overload warning and now Gimbal Stuck

The wide angle lens is MUCH heavier than a filter. The first time I attached mine the drone started throwing "gimbal overload" warnings every few seconds, then it settled down and hasn't done it since. If you have the WA on it when you shut it down, the weight is enough to make the camera point...

    O4 air unit.

The real problem here, which nobody noted, is DJI's incredibly stupid product naming decision. All this confusion was created by DJI.

Artifact border in every DNG file

Not an aberration or distortion- this is totally normal on RAW files from most cameras. You are seeing the readout from the very edges of the sensor that are usually cropped out when camera creates a JPG. Check your files- the RAW will always be a few pixels larger than the JPG of the same...

    What would cause this...

This is fascinating! My bad clip has a very similar jello effect with a just bit less wobbling. I'll post it this evening. Specular reflections occur everywhere, constantly, anytime the sun is out. Glass, leaves, metal, glossy paint, etc. The big, long reflections like a sunset over water are...

Mavic 3 Cine w/ VR Glasses

In other parts of the internet, the xReal air 2 Pro and it's companion product, the xReal Beam Pro (pocket sized 3d camera) have taken off like wildfire in the 3D photography community. They're not perfect, but very, very cool and they work.

    What would cause this...

This is very interesting- I have shot many stationary time-lapse (Air2s) sunsets and never had nearly this problem. In fact I was pleasantly surprised at how well it did. It wanders a bit in high winds, but those are generally small pitch oscillations. Until a few days ago. I shot a short...

Air 3 Combo Batteries Discharging from 100% to 58% in 30 Days?

That is EXACTLY what DJI did. Their discharge system is slightly better than none at all, but only slightly.

Air 3 Combo Batteries Discharging from 100% to 58% in 30 Days?

As someone who has been flying electric powered RC models since the late 70's I'll explain- As someone who has been flying electric powered RC aircraft since the late 70's I'll tell you- the DJI battery maintenance system is terrible. It waits much too long to discharge back to storage level...
