    help.....

You're not going to be able to fly in your backyard, but there are a lot of places where you can drive and have a nice flight.

    Scary question

I would say "No" as the fabric on hot air balloons is made out of ripstop nylon and/or dacron. I've used this stuff for parachutes in amatuer rockets and it'll take a ton of abuse. I'd be surprised if you could even cut the stuff with the props.

Getting ready to purchase DJI Mavic Pro

I've had a Mavic Pro for over 2 years now and I'm closing in on 600 miles of flight distance. I've not had any problems hardware wise with the MP, the goggles (which I love) or the CrystalSky. The only problem I've had is with the latest firmware release and I just backed up a release to solve...

Extra security for Mavic Pro and its battery

I actually have the other side of this problem. When I go to release my batteries, I have to sort of wiggle them out of the MP while holding in the release buttons. They fit very snuggly to say the least. But I've heard others say that their batteries are actually sort of loose when they're...

I here you mate. But like I keep telling my wife, it's cheaper than therapy. :) Great video BTW. You definitely have some skills.

Upgraded from Spark to MP1, not very happy, M2 way to go ?

I've been flying an MP for a couple of years. When I started out, I had to do a lot of learning to get the shots right. But I get great photos/videos out of my MP so it might just be a setup/configuration issue that you need to tinker with.

Problems with Mavic Pro after upgrading firmware

The smart controller is only compatible with the M2P. I'm having issues with an MP. But thanks for trying to help. Much appreciated.

Problems with Mavic Pro after upgrading firmware

Looks like 500 is the last FW update for the MP that I can see unless that release just hasn't been done for the US yet.

Problems with Mavic Pro after upgrading firmware

I think I'm just going to stay with 300 this summer as I don't want to waste any more time on trying to figure this out. Maybe this winter I'll sit down and try to run through flashing everything again to see if I can figure out the problem. But I've been flying for the last few weeks (daily)...

Mavic Pro - Fighting with the AutoFocus

Just curious as I had this happen to me for some time a while back and then it seemed to go away (with me doing nothing to fix it). Do you do your intial tap focus immediately after take off or after you've flown for a while? If memory serves me (and I'm old so maybe it no longer does), when I...

    Uncompahgre Peak in Colorado

Beautiful shots. Colorado is one of my favorite places to fly. I spend time there every year flying around Estes Park and Colorado Springs.

Rookie from Northern Il. Moving to SD soon.

Welcome to the forum. I've flown in the Black Hills area in my travels and you'll have a blast with your new MP there. Looking forward to seeing some of your videos/photos from your travels.

    Life of a Mavic battery.

On the DJI forum, they list the recommended life span of a battery at 200 charges, but that's just a recommendation. I believe that you will see that batteries that are well cared for and maintained last much longer than that. I keep an eye on my batteries to make sure none of them are swelling...

    First flight critique

Very well done indeed! I wish more pilots would start out as you have done by a) doing all the research that they can before flying, b) making sure they are legal and c) starting with the basics of flight. I probably won't answer everything here, but there is a wealth of far more experienced...
