Thanks to some insight gained from guys on RC Groups I now know how to use Litchi to set waypoints as I fly. The process is super easy and Litchi provides so many more options than the Waypoint function on GO.

Yeah, Active track leaves a lot to be desired. It will change altitude with the subject, but it is really slow to react and has pretty limited uses in action sports stuff.
Just plan it out and set a speed you can maintain. In a few shots I was on the brakes because I set the speed too low and didn't want to ride out of the frame. Definitely had a few shots that did't work out at all.
I'm curious if Litchi or others will allow you to set way points in the same manner as GO, but have more options and allow you to save them more easily. Setting them beforehand on a map doesn't work for me. Just seems too risky on anything but really flat areas or high altitude flying.
I have been experimenting with waypoints, but have also found it to be lacking a lot of features. I also can't figure out how to name the waypoint missions and haven't really figured out what saving them to favorites actually accomplishes. It is also difficult to tell if you are actually...
Anyone get any news from these guys? Last word from them was Dec 10 which has come and past with no communication. I have emailed twice and called to cancel my order and no luck yet. I'm not impressed.
EDIT. They got back to me and processed the refund. I'm less not impressed.

I have heard a few people mention what great customer service they have. Maybe they're just overwhelmed with Mavic orders and not equipped to deal with it, but I have not been very impressed with the communication and consistency of information.
