When buying a Mavic 2, do alot of research first.

If you flying and picture/video is just for basic 1080p or occationally 4K uploads for vlogging/family shots and your not a fan of much post editing and manual coulour grading - the M2Z is a great easy-flown bird with an excellent camera and lots of fun automated flight modes. However - if you...

Does Pro really mean "PRO" on the Mavic

Then there is the psychology/selling aspect of it? The funny thing is how the customers expectations reflects on what they see as "professional"? When I pull out my M2P folded from it's tiny "man bag" I more then often get the reaction " Is that it? Are you going to take my wedding with that...

Does Pro really mean "PRO" on the Mavic

Hammer on the nail ;-) The right tool for the right job. I'm a weeding/event photographer and only spices the hand-held compositions up with aerial photography. M2P is perfect for that with it's 20 MP camera, set up speed/ease-of-use/flight automatisation. I need the drone to bring my camera...

Mavic 2 Pro is fantastic for panoramas. Post your panos!

Thank you. A note. This was stiched and corrected (colourgraded, horisont correction and cropped) from the raw files in LR. The straight out of drone JPG image was rubbish. I can't recommend anybody using that. But the camera on the M2P is excellent in it's raw format as long as the DJI software...

Does Pro really mean "PRO" on the Mavic

No - and not on the PRO 2 either (my drone). A pro film drone is defined by it's ability to capture any situation and that means: 1. Ability to carry full frame cameras with interchangeable lenses hanging in a full controlled motorized 3-way gimbel system (usually 7-8 motors for gimbal and...

    Gloves for cold weather flying

They are not (made of wool with nylon/metal threads in the palms/fingers for connectivity), but can take a good deal of snow before soaking up because of the grip layer on the inside of the hand. I like them because most others I tried restricted my freedom and stick feeling so much, I found...

Mavic 2 Pro is fantastic for panoramas. Post your panos!

Sjælsø (Translates into Soule lake) near Copenhagen, Denmark. MP2 Pano mode. A note. This was stitched and corrected (colour graded, horizon correction and cropped) from the raw files in LR. The straight out of drone JPG image was rubbish. I can't recommend anybody using that. But the camera on...

    Drone Regulation

Jep - if you mean to break the law or want to use drones harmfully no regulation will stop that. You can buy or build any drone you like off the internet. - and it only takes one idiot to put the rest of us i a very bad light in the public. The political simpel reaction would be to ban flying...

    Drone Regulation

Mandatory drone registration of drones over 250 grams has already been in effect in Denmark since 2017. It's just a matter of time before other countries follow? A simpler tecnical solution would be to allow and implement low power ADS-B transponders. ADS-B receivers exist in almost all...

Pro Tip: Embed Contact information within Micro SD card (Contact Generator Program Added)

Great tip! Well - in Denmark we already have to register drones over 250 grams (since 2017) AND a sticker on the outside of the aircraft containing: Full name, Phone no, AIR req no (we get the same ones as air planes) and insurance company/policy no. Failing to have this info on the craft...

    Too many crashes

I crashed the first 3 drones, I owned. Multiple times until they smashed totally in a rubble of plastic and electronics! They were deliberately purchased very cheap and with no flying aid for that purpose. As a photographer, I wanted to see, if I could incorporate drone photography, but I didn't...

How do you like to learn to fly drones?

I was already an experienced videographer - and photographer. Wanted to spice it up with drone/areal photography: - bought a very cheap little drone ($50) - Flew it to pieces and ended it's miserable life in a tree. - bought one more very cheap little drone ($80) - Flew it to pieces and ended...
