    Flight Conditions & Insurance

If you purchased commercial sUAV thru AMA, did you agree to the condition to fly in remote areas? Read the contractual language at the bottom of the application.

M2P "Extra Payload Detected" at high altitude

The other specification for the sUAV in high altitude density environment is an aircraft with a comparatively higher "thrust-to-weight ratio." Greg from Pilot Institute did a comparison in one of his videos. The results were uplifting :)

Mavic 2 Flymore kit $279 from BH Photo New York

I bought two. Side note that M2 airframe is used for Enterprise version.

M2P "Extra Payload Detected" at high altitude

If the props in question have a lower pitch in the their design, it would be opposite of what you want in a high density altitude flight environment. The lower pitch or tilt angle of the prop reduces thrust. A prop with higher pitch would grab and move thin mountain air more aggressively and be...

M2P and M2Zoom: same iPad, 2 controllers--any concerns or tips?

I find that VERY interesting! Thanks!

Is there a way to "desensitize" the Pan (left joystick L/R)?

What a goldmine. THANK YOU! "EXP" parameter for rotate, which is yaw, traditonally called rudder control. Then there is "Sensitivity" parameter for yaw too.

M2P "Extra Payload Detected" at high altitude

I suspect that what you are encountered is density altitude in that the aircraft is losing thrust due to the "thin" air at high altitude. For example, this is why a high peeformance military helicopter cannot do rescue on Everest above a certain level. In a sense, the standard aircraft may be...

    Manually Discharging Batteries

Bc if the LiPo did burn while onboard the airliner, in the cabin, it would have less energy stored in the cells. Also if the battery had an issue, it the chemistry inside would not be under the stress of a full charge. Anything to mitigate the severity and potential for a LiPo fire. One DJI...

    Replacing a Firehouse strobe battery

My only input would be to cool the solder points asap with any tool to draw off the heat from the soldering iron. Your likely doing that and so it’s just mentioned forthise who follow.

M2P and M2Zoom: same iPad, 2 controllers--any concerns or tips?

Back my original query, on the test bench, I have found that I can use the same iPad Air 2 and swap a folding A and B controller between the M2P and M2Z. All I have to do is re-link the aircraft to the controller. Test Flights to come.

M2P and M2Zoom: same iPad, 2 controllers--any concerns or tips?

Interesting how the initial CSC creates a downward spiral before motor stop.

M2P and M2Zoom: same iPad, 2 controllers--any concerns or tips?

I can use different RC's so it should be okay. Then I can experiment if needed. Thanks!

M2P and M2Zoom: same iPad, 2 controllers--any concerns or tips?

Dirk, Thank you. I wonder what settings reside in the aircraft, and which ones are in the folding controller -and- then the iPad. For example, if I have to do a manual adjustment to level the gimbal in my pictures. Say I do that on the M2P -- will the same adjustment get applied errorneously to...

M2P and M2Zoom: same iPad, 2 controllers--any concerns or tips?

I never thought about the delay time. Thanks for all the great info! I will ponder all these things. For years, Ive flown a large quad with CSC-stop always ready. For low battery, of course I had RTH. The issue with my current direction has to do with power grid locations where I will inspect...

M2P and M2Zoom: same iPad, 2 controllers--any concerns or tips?

Chris, your comment sent me down a rabbit hole to read about CSC and a crash by a forum member: Crashed my Mavic 2 Pro because of CSC stick input settings :( Now I see what you mean: CSC for motor shutdown even in mid-air can be set to "Emergency only," in Go4 for Mavic 2. Like others in that...
