An interesting article in the UK Times newspaper this morning (1st April)

I too would like to contradict this statement. Many times I have had my Mavic Pro flying higher than the 50m RTH I have set and I can confirm it returns at the HIGHER altitude it was already flying at. It DOES NOT descend to RTH altitude.
Yes, if I create a Waypoint at a particular altitude and a POI then in the Waypoint properties it shows the angle. But what I wanted was to fly the drone and see what angle the gimbal was as I adjusted it with the control wheel, ideally in the DJI Go4 app.
Every time I take off from my garden I get a warning message telling me I'm close to a small airfield. However the official UK NATS app shows I am safely outside any ATZ, as does measuring the distance to the airfield on a map. I am all for implementing such safety measures but only if they are...
Sorry if this is a dumb question but yesterday I tried looking for the gimbal tilt angle on the Mavic Pro controller or IOS app but couldn't find it. I wanted to pre-program a Litchi mission without using POI's and wanted to get the most appropriate gimbal angles by adjusting it manually and...
Wonderful! I had a similar encounter the other day while flying in the nearby hills. In my case I was " buzzed" by a peregrine falcon. The first I knew about it was when the collision avoidance kicked in and the drone suddenly stopped. It's magical having an encounter with a wild animal in their...
I was out flying near the English/Welsh border today in clear skies when all of a sudden the collision avoidance kicked in. Looking at the video I now see what happened!
Looks like it was more manoeuvrable than me!!
Be careful with the "near 100%" figure. This refers to population coverage, not area. Yes, cities and towns are well covered but out in the country where flights tend to be made coverage is much more patchy.
Also I noted this in the customer reviews
If this is true then I don't see this being...
My previous drone was a Hubsan H501S which could do exactly what is being asked. I was somewhat surprised when I started with my MP and couldn't get it to take stills. I thought it was faulty until I realised I had to stop filming first. And the Hubsan was only £180.
I recently had a minor prang by flying up into a telephone wire I'd failed to spot. After the drone freed itself it carried on flying. It was only a few metres up over my garden so I brought it down and flew it around a bit at low level and noticed it seemed to be pulling to one side. Anyway I...
I've done the same several times. Usually I get a Gimbal overload warning but this morning I took it up and was shocked to see the video very shaky. No warnings but I immediately realised what I'd done (again!) and landed it straight away. Don't know why I didn't get a warning but all seems well...
