Paul: I can’t help but think the controller is defective. I just sent back a DJI Smart controller just purchased from a seller on eBay as it had defective sound and the installed dji Go4 was not connecting (similar to yours). I would return it.

If bigger is better (and it is not!), I can sell you an Inspire 1 or 2. Big, noisy and at one time, very expensive. Impressive looking, great capabilities, but I prefer the videos and photos out of my Mini 3 and Mini 5 Pros. Remember, running the business is the most important thing.

Are you using the same SD cards in both the 3 and the 4? Maybe swap them around and test each platform again. I have found some big differences in brands although they were rated similarly.

Doesn't the Mavic 4 Pro have an adjustable aperture? This could be very useful when you don't have ND filters available, or when you are shooting both photos and video in the same flight.
