Sailing 120nm hard upwind was always going to be a challenge. When the wind increased to 25kts things got very bumpy and I was faced with a decision, reef lots and slow right down or continue with lots of sail and get to the shelter of an island... -

PINEBARON replied to the thread Trying a heli.I primarily fly 2 meter RC pattern planes powered by YS140L four stroke glow fuel although have several electrics too. The only Heli I've ever owned was back in the 80's, a 25cc gas powered Bell 47g, quite a large monster.
