1ST PILOT JOB - SUCCESSFULLY ACQUIRED

Hey, Ferrari - For mapping, I honestly would recommend signing up with Drone Deploy for a month. They have an amazing mapping tool, do all the stitching for you, and can even supply you with elevation maps, NDVI to determine vegetation health, etc... I just use ‘em when I have a paying gig for...

Hello from Silverthorne and Golden, CO; and Fort Lauderdale, FL

Hey there, Silverthorne! If you’re on Facebook be sure to find and join the group “South Denver Drone Club”, which is a surprisingly large and active loose group. We occasionally meet up to fly together. Don’t worry about the lack of experience; the Mavics are amazingly tolerant of novice...

    Best 360 camera for Mavic?

Anybody tried the Ricoh Theta S with a Mavic Pro Platinum mounted at CG? I have one that has a nicked lens (the damned thing has a tendency to fall over on small tripods...) so I'm not worried about trashing it Of course, it's a bit of a monster in terms of length and weighs about five ounces.

I've been talked out of the Mavic 2 for now

Regardless of the drone -- and I have to say that I'll eventually switch to the Mavic 2 Pro -- photo quality is much more dependent on two things; the skill of the pilot and what's done in post-processing. It's just as easy to take lousy aerials with a 1-inch sensor as it is with a smaller...

    Hello from Colorado Springs!

Welcome! I live about 65 miles north of you in Highlands Ranch, a two-DJI guy with a Mavic Pro Platinum and a Spark. Just love the DJI quads compared to other drones I’ve flown, because as you say they almost fly themselves.

    Internet Controlled drone

Reefguy100 has exactly the right point; visual line of sight is a must, unless you’ve received a (rare) waiver from the FAA. Organizations that have these waivers include pipeline companies and railroads, and they already have their control systems in place (usually over some existing SCADA...

New Mavic Pro Platinum owner from Highlands Ranch, CO

I’m a Part 107 pilot who has been poking around with a Spark (love that little guy!) and some off-brand drones for a few years; finally decided to go with the MPP for commercial work. There are too many camera limitations with the Spark, and the Mavic Air is supported by many of the commercial...
