I love this one, how did you set this up as a program? is it a manually created waypoint mission with curved waypoint paths setting out the 3D spiral?

If I didn't have enough Mavic batteries to cover the trip, and I didn't have a 12V generator, I'd be using a bunch of cheap low C, high mAh rating LiPos hooked to the car charger. Li ion cells like 18650s would likely beat those for cost and energy density, but takes more effort.

I would pull it apart and pack blu-tack into the motor bells to remove the iron sand, compressed air won't blow out much since the magnets in the motors are so strong. (I've done this to a drone that fell in the same sort of sand in New Zealand, it is not good) You probably should check inside...

I use opposite stick to the motion, and maybe an upwards punch depending on situation/why I need to stop suddenly. They're angle limited, so braking thrust can only reach a certain limit without also changing altitude.

AFAIK the newer prop tips are a better design, they don't have the messy vortices off the tips like the old ones do - compare the "bullnose" props that were popular amongst FPV racers - more thrust at the expense of noise and power usage.

I set my shutter speed first, either for regular or slow-mo, get the ISO I want, then ND filter it down if required. High shutter speed gives it that 'soap opera' effect,

I run 5, it's a _lot_ of time to get through those. Ive seen people say you can do 3 continuous, 1 flying, 1 waiting, 1 charging - but I would rather let them cool before going on the charger.

You don't move your hand to it, lower _it_ onto your hand. Regarding the sand in the motor: don't fly like that, if you can feel any grit, then it's grinding the coating off something in the motor. Replace the motor or take the motor bell off and clean out the motor with bluetac / putty. Pack...

The only one I've encountered where you can't take your drone as carry-on is Emirates when flying through Dubai - though this is possibly more to do with the Dubai terminal security folk, the check-in in Sydney assured me it was fine in carry-on, but I've read others had issue at the scanners...
