So how many batteries do you have for your Mav?

I have 6. I usually fly until I've used up 5, and then keep the sixth one in the Mavic in case I want to make a flight later on.

Is there an advanced setting where you can eliminate high wind warnings?

I understand them having the wind warnings and I think they are a good idea. That being said, I wish there was an option to turn them off, at least on a per flight basis. Yesterday was very windy, but I was flying short-range with a return tailwind, so there was no issue with me flying in those...

Don't be like me - indoor crash after firmware update.

Correct. Forgive me, I've been drinking.

Don't be like me - indoor crash after firmware update.

Default RTH is at 30%. At 10% the battery is critical and the Mavic automatically lands no matter what.

Anyone change their control stick configuration to mimic FPS games?

I've been using Mode 2 but I've been thinking about switching. I have over 10 hours in the air but the controls still confuse me from time to time, and I think it's because my brain is used to FPS style and my wires are getting crossed. After reading this I think I'll make the switch and see how...

"Battery Error" - "Over Current Discharge" Warnings in Flight!

I get that error every single time I've ever tried full up and forward in Sport mode. It simply draws more current than the battery can provide for an extended period of time. My solution is to never use both full up and forward at the same time while in Sport mode. If I let off a bit on either...

Weak antenna signal: adjust antenna and avoid signal block

    Are your antennas properly oriented?

    OEM prop guards.

I imagine that's a conservative figure, but I'm sure someone will review them and put them to the test. If a sub-5mph crash is going to damage them they aren't very sturdy, that's for sure. If they were able to handle moderate abuse it would make the price tag seem more reasonable. That being...

Survey sent by DJI China points to Mavic Pro's future

No, it's DJI. Take a look at the writing on the DJI website and you'll see they capitalize it as well. The lowercase is just for the logo design.

Survey sent by DJI China points to Mavic Pro's future

I don't see how DJI working on future projects could possibly be a disappointing thing. If they don't keep the product line fresh their business will suffer. That's pretty plain and simple. Obviously their current manufacturing/billing/CS departments need some work, but the folks doing R&D and...

Who's returning their mavic because of the warm spot?

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I'd like to clear something up. RAW is essentially a digital negative. When shooting with film, you have room to play with the negatives in the darkroom to edit the photo how you like it. That's what RAW does for digital. Ansel Adams was known for being a...

    Portable field power

The Omni doesn't have enough capacity to charge much more than 1 Mavic battery. People look at the mAh ratings and think that the Omni is a lot larger in capacity, but they aren't considering that the Mavic uses a higher voltage. You can only compare mAh when the batteries share the same...

Who's returning their mavic because of the warm spot?

I live in Alabama so I don't expect I'll get too many snow scenes, haha. I do use Lightroom and agree that it should be an easy fix. Thanks for the filter! If I see the effect on my photos I'll give it a shot.

    Multiple Simultaneous Mavics

No, you cannot buy a new controller and have it work without going through a specific process for binding the controller to your Mavic. Controllers are bound to the Mavic they come with at the factory. They will not automatically connect to any other Mavic.

    Multiple Simultaneous Mavics

No, someone else cannot take over your Mavic.
