Battery cycle count for Mavic Mini

It all depends on your flying habits. If it was me, I will not be concerned about discharging for storage. Of course I will do a discharge if Im not gonna fly for a few months. With the batteries always fully charged, I will be able to fly anytime anywhere without preparation. For the Li-pos...

Battery cycle count for Mavic Mini

The Mini comes with Li-ion batteries and NOT Li-po batteries! Their behaviours are totally different. Li-ion batteries does not require frequent discharges for storage. All these 3.7v discharge norms for batteries are for Li-pos used in Mavic Pros, Phantom and the Mavic Air.

Battery cycle count for Mavic Mini

I read in another forum where the DJI moderator suggested to discharge to 50% if not using for more than 3 months. I think it is not necessary to discharge for storage for short period like a few weeks.

    Unable to calibrate IMU

Well, I'm an electrical engineer and I've owned a few DJI drones so I know what I'm doing and my method did indeed solve the issue and it was not a coincidence. Perhaps the lose soldier fragment theory may not seem probable.... but now I'm thinking that since the IMU consists of multiple...

    Unable to calibrate IMU

Hi All, I would just like to share my experience on this issue to all who have encountered it but unable to solve it. I bought my mini during overseas vacation to China. Upon bringing it back home to Singapore and setting it up, i received IMU calibration msg. However, the screen remained...

    Mavic Mini signal strength boosters?

The mini comes in 2 models, the FCC (MT1SS5) and the CE (MT1SD25). I'm quite sure that the transmission power is Built into the transmitter through hardware and you are not able to 'mod' it through software. Only thing is... for the FCC version, it reduces to lower transmission power in a CE...

    New firmware coming soon?

The Chinese run on a different calender based on the Lunar cycles. Their December is our January. Haha

Battery cycle count for Mavic Mini

Please take note that the Mini uses Li-ion batteries and NOT Li-po packs. For Li-pos (Mavic Air, Mavic Pro etc), the batteries need to discharge to lower voltage (around 3.7v per cell) if stored for a long duration like a few months or the battery will bloat up. That's why the Mavic pro...
