It is confirmed! I just tried the quickshot modes including dronie, rocket and asteroid and they all work with an object and not a person. Fly the Mavic Air and enter the quickshot mode and select dronie or one of the other quickshot modes and point the camera at an object. Click on the screen...

I just ordered the Air through DJI and no tracking or email yet.

The Mavic Air claims it has 5.8 ghz video transmission so does that mean I can use my Quanum fatshark fpv goggles? I can’t afford to purchase DJI goggles right now.

I have the same problem, overexposed 360 panos. I think I will try an ND8 filter and see what happens.
