I just got an email that I can pick a Mavic up in the Apple Store in the Upper West Side in NY. Since I already got mine from Newegg I am going to cancel it. So there might become on available shortly. That is if they allow me to cancel. Otherwise I will walk over to the store later tonight buy...

Yeah I noticed afterwards that Bear Mountain itself seems to be offlimit. I think I was in the clear however as I did the flights a but further from the mountain in the seven lakes drives region. Thanks. I was surprised as well that the deer were more interested than scared. Yeah, really was...

After receiving my DJI Mavic last Friday (Thanks Newegg!), I brought it out for her maiden flight this Saturday morning. Not only was this the Mavic's first flight, it was also to first time I ever captured video or flew a drone. You will see that my handling of the drone is still pretty poor...

That seems to be the case. I ordered 25th end of day and just missed my delivery :)

Thanks! Gave them a quick call to confirm the address of the relevant hub, and they confirmed I could pick it up after 7PM today. Tomorrow is going to be a good day :)

Bah. I just missed my delivery... What a shame, if I would have known I would have worked from home. Since I am new to the US, does this mean I can now pick it up later today/tomorrow at a FedEx location. Or will I need to wait until Monday for them to do a second delivery?

I seems to be true for me at least. I ordered it the November 25th late in the evening and will receive it December 5th.

The fact that so many people are receiving these updates makes me a bit worried. Could just be a software glitch :-)

Same here. Ordered the 25th and now it says shipped. Think it's safe to say the shortage will be over soon.

Did a quick ride around Boston and was just too late in the Apple store in Hingham. Someone before me bought the last two they had available.... None of the other stores around/in Boston had any stock.
