I dont use my phone to fly, I use the smart controller. I do have the Go4 app on both though.

Just updated my Go4 app on my Samsung phone and it says .25 , I wonder if this will also be available for the smart controller?

As much as I want to get the update on my SC I think I will wait for something official from DJI. In a side note when the lipos go into self discharge mode what percentage to they discharge to?

I also have this problem with my SC and hoping a new firmware will fix it. It seems like it has something to do with the video cache. If I delete mine it will be fine for a flight or two and then the go 4 app will start crashing again. It's really turned into a huge pain in the $%& for me.

What about doing panoramic's and stuff like that. If I turn off the video cache will that be a problem? Besides some video editing on the remote what is the point of saving the low res video in the SC anyway?

Well I got home today and cleared the Video Cache, it was at 1590mb. I also tuned the limit down to 2gb and did some static tests without flying the Mavic and so far so good. I did 4 or 5 video recordings and not a single crash so far. Wednesday I will get out to the field and see what happens...

Nope and you still have full control of the mavic, even RTH works.

I just clicked on the close app now and then touched the fly now button again and in about 5 seconds the screen comes back on.

Paul thanks for the info, it def wasn't heat because it was only 72 degees this morning when I was flying it. I will def check the ram and see where its at. I did reload the firmware today, is that the same as what you are talking about?

Paul is there a setting for how much cashe to keep? Where do I find all this info in the SC?

Today was a bad day at the flying field I was at taking pics and vids of a funfly event. Needless to say I didn't get much flying it because every time I tried to take a pic or record video the Dji Go4 app crashed on my Smart Controller. I tried reloading the firmware today and within 30 seconds...

I will have to check and see if that works with my Samsung Note 8 using Verizon.

So it looks like the biggest flaw for me using the Smart Controller is every time I need to get approval to fly somewhere I have no internet connection. What do you guys do in this situation?

Mine has crashed a few times as well. Twice it crashed after using Facebook live and one time after exiting activetrack. I would like to try to clear the video cache and resize to 2gb. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

I wonder if this will help with the GO app crashing when using my smart controller. Problem is I can't seem to find where the update is?
