Sorry,. Forgot to add that it was a great shoot and edit too. Would love to film the spires of Qxford, but am in Australia. How did you get the OK to film?
So Special - indeed. I am not into rap but this song is very catchy, and a tribute to boot.
The critics about the Air and it's ability to track, obviously have not seen music videos for a while. There are plenty of clips with far more hand-held Shaky Cam, than this - done intentionally. I think...
Can't find a thread on this, but most disappointed with teh Crystal Sky onmy Mavic Pro.
Brighter yes, but no detail. My iPad Air 2 with a shade showed much more detail.
The Crystal Sky is all blurred like overly compressed 320 x 240 video.
I tried it on my Inspire 2 and it was great.
What...
Thanks for this. I just had problems connecting. Got Gimbal error in Go4. Had a similar problem with my i2, so thought it was related. Saw your post and realised I had used the mavic with the Katana last week. Doh! Wifi to RC. Now all fine.
I don't believe dji have done any testing on wind speeds.
I have had an Inspire 1, I1 Pro, Inspire 2 and a mavic, all with different stability and flight characteristics. EVERY manual says 10m/s!
A dilemma. We would all love to get those shots, but imagine a bus load of tourists getting out and flying drones! Banned in Australia for hobby flyers. Commercial operators can apply for permission. May need to be accompanied by a ranger. A fee may apply depending on who and what the footage is...
All very interesting, but can you actually see the mavic at that distance? Even with strobes that is pushing it. Has to be in sight to be legal in Australia.
I could not find the maximum wind speed in the Mavic manual, though it appears in my Inspire Pro manual as 10 m/s. Surprised if it is the same as the Inspire as the Mavic is certainly less tolerant of wind.
In Australia, a radio license is required as part of the certification process. "Holding an Aircraft Radio Operator’s Certificate (AROC) is a requirement for all aviators; this includes Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) operators."
Yes. Found out by accident about hitting the icon again to reveal the sliders. The default should rise as it moves away, so not sure why you had a problem.
Having just got my Platinum blades for my Mavic Pro, I am not impressed. I mounted an audio meter outdoors on a tripod 1 metre from a mark to which I aligned the Mavic in flight (checked x, y and z axes). There was no significant breeze to effect the readings. As I could already hear that there...
