I'll tell you why..Yes, each drone has a different operating firmware. If you had a Mavic 3 Classic like me, you would choose that drone and you'd get a popup saying to switch firmware. -

I'll tell you why..When you turn on the controller, do you choose Mavic 3 Pro from the menu? That's why you're being prompted to switch firmware.

I was reminded that the cost of shipping, plus import duties both ways might discourage that idea. I don't know about the person...
