I ordered the mini 5 pro fly more combo well rated eBay store 102_store. I ordered on Monday and it arrived today, Friday. Hats off to the seller and FedEx. Fired it up, updated firmware and did a short test flight. All good.

I didn’t explain clearly. The controller shown can only be used with goggles (presumably). There is no DJI type basic controller to fly without goggles. Hence the requirement for visual observer for any flight.

The specs show “What's Included 1x Antigravity A1 Drone, 1x Antigravity Vision Goggles, 1x Antigravity Grip Motion Controller” From what I see you cannot use the motion controller without the goggles. I do not see any traditional DJI type controller with screen and sticks.

Looks like there is no controller, only a headset. Without a controller it’s a hard sell for those of us who fly legally. Realistically, how many pilots will fly with a visual observer. Not many.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Weight restrictions are often an issue with airlines to Africa and within. Yours was certainly heavy, however often they don't check if it doesn't look heavy. I was born in Harare.

Nice job Dale. I was born in Zimbabwe and have been to many of the places filmed. I go back as often as I can. A special place with fantastic people. I'd be interested to hear how you managed to take all that photo equipment with you.

Legislation is somewhat irrelevant now. The current tariff on China effectively is an embargo on Drone imports. Not many will be able to afford them and it's not clear if the Mavic 4 Pro will see daylight in the USA as a result :(

Looks great. My only issue of having the valuable stuff checked is loss either through theft or damage. I don't think it's a big issue generally; but in many parts of the world it is. Stuff goes missing or is opened in transit. I would get specific insurance to cover unexpected loss.

Of course each airline may have different restrictions. I fly to the UK often and carry a lot of camera equipment. My bag of choice is the Thinktank Airport International™ V3.0. It is designed to protect fragile photo gear and is a little smaller than the standard US size Exterior Dimensions...
