Legislation is somewhat irrelevant now. The current tariff on China effectively is an embargo on Drone imports. Not many will be able to afford them and it's not clear if the Mavic 4 Pro will see daylight in the USA as a result :(

Looks great. My only issue of having the valuable stuff checked is loss either through theft or damage. I don't think it's a big issue generally; but in many parts of the world it is. Stuff goes missing or is opened in transit. I would get specific insurance to cover unexpected loss.

Of course each airline may have different restrictions. I fly to the UK often and carry a lot of camera equipment. My bag of choice is the Thinktank Airport International™ V3.0. It is designed to protect fragile photo gear and is a little smaller than the standard US size Exterior Dimensions...

That’s old news. All the media are reporting today that the China tariff is actually up to 145% !! That equates to an effective embargo on all Chinese goods.

All prices you see in the UK are inclusive of VAT, so the 20% is included in the published price. Prior to 2021, if you were a returning USA resident you could claim back the 20% from the UK government, but that has ended. Let's say you purchase a DJI drone in the UK and of course pay the 20%...

Prior estimated pricing on Mavic 4 Pro was based on the existing 20% tariff. With tariffs on China now 104% (34% plus 50%) we will surely see a significant price bump. Worst time to introduce a new product in the USA. :(. {Edit} - White House just announce retaliatory tariff on China of 125%.

It's not only 34%. That's what was added yesterday. It's a grand total of 65% now for DJI Quoting the economist April 3, 2025 "Speaking in the Rose Garden of the White House, the president announced new “reciprocal” tariffs on almost all America’s trading partners. There will be levies of 34%...

Agreed. Tariffs are a tax on the US consumer and paid to US government at time of import. Nothing at all to do with manufacture cost or margin in China. So landed cost in the USA port will be say 10% higher (or whatever %). DJI USA will most likely pass some or all of this cost on to us via...

This well documented issue may be related to your issue (see link below) When you try to download an area to fly in, DJI appear to limit you to a relatively small file size and therefore area. The you re-look at the area you have apparently downloaded, you will only see on the map a tiny subset...
