Regarding cases, to each their own. For me, the whole point of the Mavic was so I could stop dedicating an entire suitcase/backpack to my Phantom 4. For that reason this IMO is the best case on the market. It's from Polar Pro

If you want to fly where DJI says you can't perhaps you need a drone not made by DJI. I suspect that some company will soon compete against DJI as the choice for "those that don't want restrictions" , until then learn to build your own. It's not hard. Or buy one someone else built

To be honest I'm closer to Columbus/Weimar but nobody knows where that is so Katy is a good substitute. We live on several acres and have cool neighbors with tons of acerage too.

Actually if you update to 1.16.0 there is a cache videos mode. Cached videos are stored in a Litchi Video Cache folder in the photos app of your iPhone. Not sure about Android
