Low prices on Mini 5 makes sense with an incoming Lito replacement. Not sure why Neo 2 would be discounted, that just came out. Could be that DJI is finally getting their own imports through so the pricing actually reflects MSRP now but I'm not holding my breath.

And if you’re flying up a mountain you can be below the legal limit for above ground level but hit DJIs altitude limit which is based off of your takeoff point. There are legal reasons to raise that slider above 400 feet.

When you checked to see what your altitude limit was, did the drone have a GPS lock and know where it was?

Were you able to downgrade the controller? What firmware version and what DJI fly app version?

Assuming your drone scanner is working correctly and you are in a country that RID is broadcast, then yes the Mini 5 should always show up.

Thats the official DJI account. Altitude limits can be temporarily removed by DJI for specific locations/dates if you contact them with a legitimate permit to do so. They probably used the same function for themselves to make this video.

Its possible the limit is imposed by the DJI fly app on the controller. You can see if DJI assistant will let you downgrade the controller.

If you're using DJI Assistant 2 then the program downloads them, it should show you a list of the firmware versions available. If DJI Assistant 2 doesn't show you previous firmware versions available then you could try using the free dronehacks software to downgrade and download the older...

My drone is running .0300, my RC 2 controller is running DJI Fly 1.18.2 with RC firmware 07.00.0100. I wonder if the height limit would be restored on yours if you use assistant to roll back to .0200.

Did you update the firmware on the controller that was 1000m and is now 500m?
