I can't fly in my backyard at all. 0 feet is the max without a commercial license.
Example of all the restrictions. Going to Florida this summer. Researching on where we can fly.
Most of Miami - no drone zone
Everglades - no drone zone
Key west - no drone zone
Cape Canaveral - no drone zone...
I'm pretty sure the FAA owns the airspace above it so state parks are fine flying over. The state can make a law on take offs or landings in the park though. Some parks are so big it's not possible from outside the boundaries.
I'm also a stealth flyer. Drones have a bad reputation because some jackasses ruined it. How is flying a drone different from someone blasting music at the national parks?
Las Vegas is a no drone zone in a city parks. Nevada is a no drone zone in all state parks. National parks, monuments, etc are also no drone zones. Correct there isn't much left, once my drone dies I'm done. It's harder to find a place to fly it than not. I'm perfectly fine with the broadcasting...
