You may not much high-rise terrain or many mountains in South Alabama but something to be aware of when flying close to either is a condition known as mountain wave turbulence. Bottom line-if it’s windy and you’re flying on the downwind side of high terrain it’s going to be a bit choppy and hard...
Welcome and if you don’t mind a little drive Sams Gap on I 26 border of ETN and WNC offers some great drone flying. Went up there during last Christmas snow and got some spectacular shots with my M2P.
B & H is pretty good about including some extras when a higher end drone is purchased, like a hard shell case. They even agreed to discount an extra battery when I purchased a M2P earlier this year. Just have to ask…all they can do is say no but asking saved me some $$.
I have a M2P with smart controller and 2 batteries but not the complete fly more combo. About 25 hours flight time excellent condition with boxes and hard shell case. Purchased one year ago. Feel free to PM me if you are interested.

Glad to hear you’re helping to educate others on drones. We all can benefit from this. One suggestion-perhaps include the importance of personal responsibility in flying safely and showing respect to property owners who may be less than enthused with low flights around their domain. It could...
The brief amount of time it takes to get the TRUST certificate is much less than the time it takes to review the links and posts referencing the need to have both Part 107 and TRUST certificate. IMHO having both is the most cost/time effective means to solve the issue so I can spend more time...
Flying “up and away” over Chicago may put your drone directly over people in such a extensively populated area, which is, to put it mildly, frowned upon by local authorities as well as the FAA.
Thanks for the write-up. I also have a M2P and have been tempted to get some lake footage while on the boat but your story is one to counter-weigh the temptation. Hope you get many great flights with your new AC.
I have a M2P and while the “side sensors” (also referred to as the Lateral Vision System) do offer some valuable assistance, they cannot be depended on to stop the drone around moving people, vehicles, slim tree branches or utility wires. User manual emphasizes this. I’ve found the LVS to be...
