My bad then, when I wrote MINI 1, I should have called it the MAVIC MINI, and Mavic Mini is not listed as an option on DJI fly. -
I am using the no-screen original remote. So it has to be done on the cell phone app via phone connected to DJI fly. It doesn't have MINI as an option.

It only does that when there is no connection to the drone. If the drone is connected, the app will correctly identify the drone and do everything for you. You need to work on the drone-controller connection because that's your problem.
