Understood, however if I have the larger batteries on the M5P then that puts it over the threshold ....sadly.

So, M5P with large batteries >249g you should have TRUST certificate, FAA registration and the number displayed on the M5P? As I understand it if the M5P has the larger battery installed it will broadcast RID when in flight...?

Thanks Chris, and if I understand it correctly if I were to pop down to the States I'd have to had passed the TRUST exam and also register with the FAA?

...and if you choose to use the larger batteries and would like to have a pilot licence to err on the side of caution it's just the Basic licence correct?

Never had a drone before but plan on getting a DJI Mini 5 Pro for recreation but also to add to videos shot on an Insta360 on Motorcycle trips. Until it's in my hands I'm reading and watching and paying particular attention to the hoops I have to go through in Canada and the States to deal with...
