DJI Matrice 210 lost at sea. It even happens to the big boys.

Another well used aviation maxim: “Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect.” Here, I believe, we have both aspects covered.

    Very disappointed in Mavic Pro!

OMG......Please, Unhappy Pilot, RTFM. Between the OP and the above comment, I think that perhaps another hobby would be best for you.....and for the rest of us, if for no other reason than public safety.

Nothing like seeing the neighbors had a party last night

The first hard drive that I owned was a SCSI drive connected to my heavily modified original 1984 Macintosh 128K. It was 70MB and cost over $700 in 80's dollars. YIKES!

The first color Mac, the Macintosh II, was released in 1987. But point well taken.

Got hit by my Mavic blades

Indeed. My favorite analogy when I try to describe the potential effects of contacting the Inspire's rotors while in flight is, "Imagine sticking your hand into 4 food processors flying in formation". That usually gets the appropriate reaction.

Got hit by my Mavic blades

Thank you sir.....it healed up really well. The PA did a great job with the sutures. Still have a bit of numbness on 2 sides of the thumb (2 years later) and that flap over the index finger knuckle survived as well, but due to the cut going down to the bone underneath, that's the finger that is...

Got hit by my Mavic blades

Here ya go erkme73. BTW what you can see in the photos doesn't show all of the sutures. All of the fingers on my left hand (except the pinkie) had them. And we didn't take photos of the stitches on my leg as the Inspire swung toward the ground. The ER staff indeed tallied the count at 33.

Got hit by my Mavic blades

Well, as long as we're sharing stories about drones and stupidity, I think I must qualify as cosmically moronic. I had been flying the early Phantom series for a couple of years when I stepped up to the Inspire. I had often hand caught the Phantom, but never considered doing it with the...

    Little "roadway" bars?

OK, thanks! I will watch them more closely on my next flight. Seems rather redundant.

    Little "roadway" bars?

Yes indeed...those. The manual points out the flight speed and motor speed alphanumerics, but it didn't seem to reference those little graphical beauties. Are they just analog indicators for motor speed and flight speed?

    Little "roadway" bars?

OK, I may be a blithering idiot here, but I've scoured the web and DJI's info areas, and for the life of me, I can't find any description of what those little, arching, segmented bars on either side of the controller's display mean. They're not called out in the manual and I occasionally see one...
